Battlefield 2042 season 1 will add new Specialist and portal content, because EA plans to start its first year of game live service.

EA confirmed that Battlefield 2042 season 1 will add new Specialist and portal content to the game, because the developers adopt a new real-time service method.

The release of Battlefield 2042 is a little over a week away. But EA has already hyped the post-launch content of the game.

The first year of live service in Battlefield 2042 will see four Seasons and four Battle Passes, as well as new Specialists and Portal content.

The evolving post-launch atmosphere of Battlefield 2042 is similar to that of Call of Duty: Warzone.

Battle Royale continues to receive additional content and story updates, changing the nature of the game over time. This strategy is good for Warzone, and EA seems to redouble its efforts in this mentality.

Although Battlefield 2042 obviously lacks a campaign, the futuristic FPS does have a large number of unique game modes.

In addition to its All-Out Warfare, the game will use Battlefield Portal that emphasizes customization, as well as Hazard Zone, a squad-based extraction game mode.

Battlefield Portal brings nostalgia to Battlefield 2042, integrating the content of previous Battlefield games.

Players will have the opportunity to use this content to create custom games, and the experience should be constantly changing.

EA previously confirmed that Battlefield Portal will see consistent content updates, adding additional customization options to the game mode, such as a new classic map.

Although EA did not destroy all the future content of Battlefield 2042, it has already announced some upcoming content.

Battlefield 2042 season 1 won’t start until 2022

According to EA, as the developer launches the first of the four seasons to be launched next year, the first season of Battlefield 2042 will add a new Specialist and additional portal content.

The appearance of the new Specialist was not disclosed.

EA will keep the details of other Portal content confidential, but more details will be provided in early 2022.

It also implies that players may get “new sights to see as the story of Battlefield 2042 continues to unfold” during season 1. This may mean that new maps or other content can expand the future storyline of the game.

At the time of release, before season 1, there will be a pre-season game with “Weekly Missions and Rewards, Limited Time Modes, featured Creator Spotlights and experiences in Battlefield Portal”.

The Specialists in Battlefield 2042 are different from the previous class-based systems in the series.

These characters have more detailed role models and are equipped with unique gadgets.

Each Specialist contains specific abilities that provide advantages on the battlefield.

New Specialists will arrive next year. And season 1 will bring the first new Specialist after its release.

It is not clear what gadget the Specialist will be equipped with, although it may bring its own advantages.

In addition to the Specialist, there will also be new Battlefield Portal content, which may be classic maps and modes from past Battlefield games.

Battlefield 2042’s new maps

EA also hinted at the new maps that Battlefield 2042 may appear in Season 1. Because it revealed that there will be new sights to watch.

These new sights are said to advance the futuristic plot of the game. So it is questionable whether EA only talks about the new classic map of “Battlefield Portal”.

However, no matter what these new sights are, fans of Battlefield 2042 are likely to be very excited to see them.

Battlefield 2042 will be released on November 19, 2021, and is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
