Some fans on Reddit hope that Sledgehammer Games will add the War game mode from “Call of Duty: World War II” to this year’s “Call of Duty: Vanguard”.
The first major game released by Sledgehammer since World War II
Sledgehammer Games released Call of Duty: Vanguard in early November. It is the 18th installment in this long-running series.
Although developers have been assisting Infinity Ward and Treyarch’s recently released Call of Duty games, this will be the first major game released by Sledgehammer since World War II in 2017.
A new game mode called War mode
Although “Call of Duty: World War II” is not much different from “Vanguard”, some fans are happy to see the series return to World War II.
WW2 also introduced a new game mode called War Mode, in which 2 teams of 6 players play the role of Allied or Axis forces. This is a goal-based game mode featuring battles inspired by iconic moments of World War II.
Although the War mode has not been part of any Call of Duty game since then, it seems that some fans want it to return to the vanguard in some form.
Call of Duty: Vanguard players’ reaction about War mode
A poster on Call of Duty: Vanguard subReddit mentioned that War mode is a great addition to WW2, and they desperately want it back.
The comment section was filed with the person who responded to this statement.
Some people say that war is the only benefit of Call of Duty: World War II.
According to comments, the realization of the War mode took a lot of effort, which may be the reason why it has not appeared in any Call of Duty games since.
Some other fans hope that the development team will even abandon the Zombies game mode in favor of new ideas.
Call of Duty: Vanguard – Other things to look for
It seems that War mode is not the only thing fans want to see reintroduced, because they also want to add map voting to Vanguard.
For many years, being able to vote on the next map has been a feature of the Call of Duty multiplayer game. But surprisingly, 2019’s Modern Warfare did not.
However, last year’s Black Ops Cold War witnessed the return of map voting. And now Vanguard is absent from this feature again.
As expected, fans are very confused by this series of oscillating events.
Anyone who wants to buy Vanguard can take advantage of the ongoing Black Friday promotion.
Depending on the situation, “Call of Duty: Vanguard” can be purchased at some retailers for as low as $39.99.
Even if the game is currently out of stock, fans can look forward to snapping up Vanguard in any other sales this holiday season.
“Call of Duty: Vanguard” is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
