In the updated roadmap, CD Projekt revealed that any further updates, including free DLC and next-generation console updates, will not be released before 2022. In fact, there will be no more Cyberpunk 2077 updates for the rest of this year.

Soon after the release of Cyberpunk 2077, fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the game, and CD Projekt Red promised to fix various problems.

In making this commitment, it shared a roadmap detailing updates, DLC, and next-generation upgrade plans for 2021 and beyond.

However, on Oct 29, we learned that the rest of the 2021 roadmap has been postponed to 2022.

It indicates that Cyberpunk 2077 will not have any major updates for the rest of the year.

A look at the Cyberpunk 2077 roadmap

CD Projekt Red updated the original post with a roadmap and frequently asked questions about the state of Cyberpunk 2077.

The new roadmap indicates that more updates, improvements, and DLC will be launched in 2022.

It is clear that the next-generation console update will land sometime in the first quarter.

Unfortunately, the new roadmap shows that patch 1.31 is the final version in 2021.

Patch 1.31 was relaunched in September as a follow-up to the larger 1.3 update.

According to this roadmap, patch 1.31 is the last major update we received this year.

This does not necessarily mean that there will be no more updates to Cyberpunk 2077 this year. But it does indicate that the scope of any other updates may be smaller.

Of course, we already know some of the information contained in this new roadmap.

It is because CD Projekt Red recently confirmed that the next-generation updates of Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 have been postponed until next year.

We’ll likely see bug fixes ship in smaller updates

The biggest question is whether we will see more major patches beyond 1.3.

At the end of last year, when Cyberpunk 2077 was still fresh and fans expressed their opinions, CD Projekt Red stated that most of the changes to the console version would appear in two major patches.

Presumably, the company was talking about updates 1.1 and 1.2 there.

In the 1.3 and 1.31 updates, we have gone far beyond the first two patches.

So it is entirely possible that CD Projekt Red does not plan any other major patches at all.

Assuming this is the case, we may see bug fixes released in smaller (hopefully more frequent) updates.

We just need to see what CD Projekt Red will announce in the new year. We will notify you when these announcements are made, so stay tuned for more information.
