It has been more than 30 years since Square Enix envisioned a magical world enchanting before players through Final Fantasy. The inspiration that Square Enix creates for the gaming community from the game is truly respectable. The original Final Fantasy 7 was completed and released in 1997 until now is still mentioned as one of the best games. Following the success of its predecessor, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade promises to continue to stir your mind.

With the application of a very “trendy” storytelling direction (being adopted by the Hollywood filmmakers with the most prominent achievement being Avengers: Endgame), Square Enix created a universe parallel to that of the original work can both lead to the old story and bring in new events to create a different consequence and sub-ramifications for development. In Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, there will still be Midgard City or the energy company Shinra, but there will be lots of new lands for you to explore.

Breakthroughs of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

At Sony’s State of Play event, Square Enix introduced the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade trailer, which is a connection between Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the next post-release. This DLC version adds quite a few new details to the plot of Final Fantasy 7 Remake while exploiting the technological prowess of the PlayStation 5. The vibrancy is a noticeable difference that you can easily feel when this version adds Graphics Mode to 4K resolution and Performance Mode to keep 60 FPS. The perils that limit the city of Midgard will be completely demolished to make your experience as authentic as possible. The story is now yours to explore freely.

There aren’t too many styles of play except that you’ll have a new mode called Normal (Classic). But it doesn’t matter as Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade brings stories about Yuffie Kisaragi, a hidden character with a wish to rebuild her homeland Wutai and Sonon Kusakabe, a new member of the Avalanche rebellion group.

The protagonist of this DLC will be Yuffie Kisaragi, a Materia hunter of the Wutai organization, the main branch of the Avalanche force. The storyline will be skillfully circulated along with her life. From her joining Avalanche to fight against the Shinra Electric Power company to how this girl was able to obtain the gems extracted from the Lifestream. A girl who can even summon elemental gods isn’t trivial at all, right? Trust me, you will be even more surprised.

Accompanying Yuffie will be Sonon Kusakabe. It seems it was a change in the timeline of Final Fantasy 7 Remake that allowed him to appear. According to his demeanor, I guess that he was instructed to follow as Yuffie’s assistant. The official trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade shows Sonon and Yuffie interacting to create beautiful combos.

With the factors that I have just listed briefly, it seems that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a very high-quality DLC. Upgrades make the game content as well as the impact on the player’s experience significantly improved. However, the biggest shortcoming of this version is that it is PlayStation 5-exclusive. Another way to solve this problem is to upgrade to Intergrade from the physical and digital version of FF7 Remake that you currently own on PS4.

Closing Thought

In general, you will have a lot of trouble if you want to own a quality product like Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. However, the game’s scheduled release date is October 6, 2021, so you still have plenty of opportunities.
