Forza Horizon 5 expands the leaderboard as it currently has over 15 million players. The in-game player counter shows the new numbers (via TheGamer) shared on social media.
Forza Horizon 5 GAME pass
Exactly how many people buy and play a particular game is often difficult to determine.
Whether it’s a company like Nintendo not sharing their digital sales, or a game showing up on both Xbox Game Pass and in stores, it’s clear that fewer copies are being sold.
The only thing you can be sure of is that if millions of people play your game right after launch, people will probably like it.
This is the case for Playground Games and Forza Horizon 5.
Five million people immediately started playing Forza 5 thanks to early access.
This doubled to ten million a week after release day as it was available to anyone who subscribed to Game Pass.
Two months later five million players were added.
That impressive goal was confirmed
This impressive target was confirmed by industry analyst MauroNL.
“Exactly two months after its release, Forza Horizon 5 has crossed the 15 million players mark”, tweeted MauroNL, congratulating Forza 5 developer Playground Games.
The tweet includes a screenshot that serves as proof of Forza’s performance.
The exact number of players below is 15,009,018.
It also features the top 11 players in the world in case you’re wondering what score it takes to be among the elite.
On a final note
In comparison, Sea Of Thieves, which also launched Game Pass, took two years and four months to surpass 15 million players, according to VGChartz.
Since then it has registered 25 million players. We’ll see how long it will take Forza 5 to achieve this noble goal.
Probably less than three years considering how quickly he made it to 15 million players by comparison.
The Forza 5 launch was bigger than expected, and confirmation for Xbox that making the game available via Game Pass on day one was a good idea.
The ten million people who played the game in the first seven days became the biggest first week in Xbox history.
