According to credible sources, Sony next-generation PlayStation VR headset for PlayStation 5 has significantly higher resolution, inside-out tracking, a vibration motor, and even foveated rendering.
For now, we win not know the product’s name yet, but according to multiple reports, Sony exchanged information with partners. A resolution of 40002040 pixels (2000×2040 per eye), a lens separation adjustment knob, and gaze tracking with foveated rendering are among the features. Developers may use a motor in the headset to provide direct haptic feedback.
Sony previously announces that it is working on a next-generation wired VR headset for PS5. That will be available after 2021, as well as revealing the controllers for the upcoming dubbed PlayStation VR.
