Battlefield 2042 data miner shared the first leaked image of the new map
The new map will appear in Season 1 of Battlefield 2042. And data miner Battlefield 2042 temporyal shared its first leaked image on December 22.
It’s reported that the card is called Exposure and is being developed in Canada. As you can see in the concept art, this is another large format map covered in forests and mountains and small lakes.
The concept art looks great with the stunning landscapes, mountains, and yellow forest capturing the fall quite well, but it remains to be seen if the actual map in the game looks as good as the concept art.
… And some map lore, too
Temporyal also managed to dig up some map lore.
Apparently, the map description includes the following lines: “Landslide has exposed a secret research facility” and “Russians suspect a military weapon inside”.
Note that this is just a preview of the unpublished information in the game files.
It’s possible that the map never came into play, because sometimes a lot of the interesting stuff that was in the game files could just be remnants of an abandoned function.
Until EA and DICE officially reveal the new map, these are just rumors and nothing more.
