The UK’s Xbox Twitter account recently posted a series of photos showing seasonal knitwear – but not for gamers: for controllers.
Xbox’s Twitter presence has built a reputation for being a bit cheeky and funny; especially after the launch of the Xbox Series X, where they were often equated with the refrigerator.
As a result, Xbox was actually in on the joke and released a real-life Xbox Series X Mini-Fridge last year.
A recent restock in the UK
For those hoping to get their hands on an Xbox Series X (not the mini-fridge version) this year, they might be in luck.
With the recent restock of the Xbox Series X in the UK, the console was available for a full 24 hours after its drop, a good sign after a year of major consoles selling out in a matter of minutes or hours.
The ever-elusive PlayStation 5 has also remained available during this time. That is an unexpected development similar to the Xbox Series X.

Photos of some accessories for Xbox controllers
Xbox UK recently released a number of accessories for those who have a controller on their console and are perfect for this wintry season.
The photos on the tweet show a charming gray-white-green knitted hat with matching gloves – not for humans to wear, but for an Xbox controller.
The final photo in the series even shows a person, even without gloves or mittens, holding said controller.
The controlling ensemble is certainly a fun and captivating sight; Despite the impractical investment, the tweet doesn’t seem to indicate that the knitwear set is actually for sale.

Though the tweet shouldn’t be taken seriously, fans still commented their desires to buy the admittedly impractical Xbox controller hat and mittens set.
One user just wrote “If only this was a real thing to purchase. Looks adorable”.
Another commented in more detail on the animated GIF by Fry from Futurama waving a wad of cash and exclaiming: “Shut up and take my money!”.
There are many accessories for controllers and consoles that are not practical to use, but still enhance the gaming experience.
Xbox controllers can also be comfy and cozy!
Playing comfortably indoors is a great way to pass the time on cold winter days.
And thanks to this Xbox UK tweet, Xbox controllers can now be comfortable and convenient too.
While this product doesn’t appear to be for sale, those talented enough to crochet or knit game accessories will likely find it easy to make a similar (or identical) set.
Some players are very talented at arts and crafts – such as some who crochet their favorite characters in the game, such as the ones in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – so this can be a feasible task for some.
